Ambleside Nursing Home

Ambleside Nursing Home provides personal and nursing care to up to 20 people across four floors. At the time of inspection, 17 people were using the service, which includes communal areas, a dining room, and access to a garden.

The home has infection control policies and procedures in place. However, inspectors observed a staff member not wearing their mask appropriately on more than one occasion. Care plans contained information about people's assessed needs and how staff could meet them, with risk assessments in place for identified risks and guidance for staff on mitigation strategies. One person's care plan was not immediately available during the inspection but was provided before the visit concluded.
