Alexander House - Dover

Alexander House is a residential care home providing personal care to up to 46 older people, many living with dementia, across two adjoining adapted buildings. At the time of inspection, 32 people were using the service.

People told inspectors they felt safe living at the home. Potential risks to people's health and welfare had been assessed, with guidance in place for staff to mitigate these risks. Effective systems were in place to protect people from discrimination and abuse. Staff had been recruited safely, and there were sufficient numbers to support people in their preferred ways. People received their medicines as prescribed.
