About Ailwyn Hall

Ailwyn Hall is a residential care home in Norfolk, providing care and support to older people, including some living with dementia. Details of the most recent CQC findings are set out below.

Ailwyn Hall is a residential care home providing care and support to older people, some living with dementia, for up to 35 people. The CQC rated the service inadequate overall and it remains in special measures following a safeguarding investigation. Inspectors found poor management of safeguarding, unsafe staffing levels, inadequate recruitment checks and inaccurate, contradictory care records that put people at risk of harm.

Leadership had changed but oversight remained weak, and people with complex needs were admitted without the right expertise in place. Families gave mixed feedback: some praised individual staff, but others raised serious concerns about poor hygiene care, boredom and complaints being ignored.
