Agnes House - Residential Care Home

Agnes House provides residential care and personal support to people recovering from mental health conditions. During the inspection, the home was supporting 13 residents. Staff demonstrated strong safeguarding practices, understanding their responsibilities to protect people from abuse and discrimination and working effectively with the local authority safeguarding team. The established staff team received comprehensive training and support, which they felt equipped them well for their roles. Inspectors observed staff providing competent, kind and personalised care.

The home maintained effective systems to protect people's safety, including monitoring of medicine management, staffing levels, infection control and premises maintenance. Safe recruitment procedures ensured staff were of good character. Throughout the inspection, staff demonstrated person-centred care by listening to residents and promoting their dignity and privacy. Staff were described as caring and understanding in their approach to supporting people living in the home.
