Loyd House

Loyd House is a care home providing personal and nursing care to people with acquired brain injuries, supporting people of all ages. The CQC rated the service as requiring improvement overall, having identified breaches relating to safe care, governance, consent and person-centred care. Care plans lacked detail and sometimes contained incorrect information, risk assessments were missing, and medicines management needed improvement.

Inspectors found weak oversight meant concerns were not identified or acted on. People and relatives generally felt safe and well cared for, praising individual staff, but feedback on staffing levels, cleanliness and activity provision was mixed, with residents requesting more daily activities. A complaints process was in place and families felt confident using it.
