Abbey Court provides personal and nursing care for up to 52 people, with 48 residents using the service at the time of inspection. The home is arranged over two floors in a single building with communal dining rooms and lounges. Some residents were living with dementia. The home demonstrated strong infection prevention and control practices, including checking visitors for proof of vaccination where applicable and ensuring PPE supplies were plentiful and accessible throughout the building. Staff were observed using PPE appropriately at all times. The management team completed regular checks of premises and staff practices, received updates from healthcare professionals to follow best practice guidance, and ensured both staff and residents were regularly tested. Staff had received COVID-19 vaccinations unless exempt.
