The registered manager and deputy demonstrated strong leadership in implementing robust infection control measures, including enhanced cleaning schedules that focused on regular touchpoint surfaces. Staff competency was monitored through regular spot checks to ensure continued adherence to best practice guidelines. The home had adequate supplies of PPE available and ensured new residents followed current guidance regarding personal protective equipment and social distancing when entering the service. Items that could not be effectively cleaned were removed to minimise infection risks.
