Walberton Place Care Home

Walberton Place Care Home, in West Sussex, provides personal care for up to 80 people, some of whom are living with dementia. The CQC rated the home Good overall, following an assessment prompted by concerns about care delivery. Inspectors found the home clean, well-staffed and well-led, with safe medicines management and a strong team culture supported by a new registered manager.

People living at the home told inspectors staff were kind and caring, and care plans were personalised and regularly reviewed. Residents enjoyed activities and outings, remained in contact with family and community, and were supported to plan for the end of their lives. Staff understood their duties under the Mental Capacity Act and consistently sought consent before providing care.
