Valleyview

Valleyview, in Derbyshire, is a residential care home for up to 8 people with profound and multiple learning disabilities, including complex physical, sensory and communication needs. The CQC rated the service Outstanding overall, praising exceptional, person-centred care, inspirational leadership and a strong culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

Inspectors found staff knew people extremely well, using tailored communication to support choice and independence. Safeguarding, medicines management and staffing were found to be safe and effective, and people were supported to take part in meaningful, choice-led activities including chosen holidays. Relatives described leadership as approachable and communication as open and transparent.
