About Unity Care

Unity Care is a residential care home in Birmingham, supporting adults with learning disabilities and/or mental health conditions. Further details from the Care Quality Commission's most recent inspection are set out below.

Unity Care accommodates up to five adults with learning disabilities and/or mental health conditions; three people were living there at the time of inspection. The service provides person-centred support designed to help residents live meaningful lives with control, choice, and independence. Staff had been appropriately recruited and received relevant training to support people's individual care needs.

People were kept safe through proper risk assessment and management, received their medicines safely and as prescribed, and had sufficient staffing support to minimise harm. Staff sought consent before providing care and supported residents to have maximum choice and control in their lives using the least restrictive practices possible. People were treated with kindness and compassion throughout their care.
