Florrie Robbins House

Florrie Robbins House provides personal care to up to five people. At inspection, four people were living at the home. Care plans considered each person's individual risk related to COVID-19 and how to support them to self-isolate. Where people lacked capacity, plans were made in their best interests involving the person, their loved ones and relevant professionals. The home enhanced cleaning schedules to include high-touch areas with two-hourly sanitisation. Staff wore Personal Protective Equipment in line with government guidance and had designated areas available to put on and remove PPE.

People's health observations, including blood pressure and oxygen levels, were taken weekly and discussed with the GP during weekly ward rounds. This allowed staff to monitor changes in people's health and seek medical support when needed. The provider had updated policies to reflect the impact of COVID-19 and implemented a pandemic policy to guide the service during this period. However, staff had not been risk assessed to consider COVID-19 and their individual needs.
