Tunstall Hall Care Centre

Tunstall Hall Care Centre is a residential care home providing personal care to older people, some of whom are living with dementia. The CQC rated the service Requires Improvement overall. Inspectors found risks around nutrition, fluid intake and medicines were not always managed safely, and safeguarding referrals had not always been made.

The provider remained in breach of governance regulations identified at a previous inspection.

The CQC also found care was not always delivered in a dignified, person-centred way, and staff morale was poor. However, relatives described staff as kind and knowledgeable, and felt confident their family members were safe. Staffing levels were sufficient, and dementia training was undertaken during the assessment to address concerns.
