About Trafford Waters Care Home
Trafford Waters Care Home provides personal care to older adults, including people living with dementia, for up to 85 people. The CQC rated the service Requires Improvement, following an assessment triggered by local authority concerns about poor standards. Inspectors identified five breaches, covering person centred care, safe care and treatment, nutrition and hydration, staffing, and governance.
Staffing levels were insufficient despite recent increases, with high sickness and poor morale affecting care. Many interactions lacked personal attention, mealtime support was inconsistent, and medicines records did not always show doses given as prescribed. Staff were described as kind, but families and residents said understaffing limited the quality of care.
A new manager had been appointed and improvements were underway.
