Thorp House

Thorp House is a nursing home accommodating up to 41 people who require nursing and personal care, including those living with dementia. The service occupies a large extended building spread across two floors with communal areas on each level and six self-contained apartments accessible from the ground floor corridor. At the time of inspection, 39 people were resident at the home.

During the inspection, the service was managing a COVID-19 outbreak, with positive cases isolated in their bedrooms receiving individualised care and support to minimise infection spread. Some staff members were absent on sick leave during this period.
