The Village Care Home

The Village Care Home provides personal care for up to 40 people, some living with dementia. At inspection, 37 residents were living there. The home maintained strong infection control practices with systems in place to prevent transmission among residents, staff and visitors. The environment was clean with additional cleaning of frequently touched surfaces, and staff wore appropriate PPE with sufficient supplies available throughout the home via designated stations. Staff had received training in correct PPE use and COVID-19 related procedures.

The home supported residents and relatives to maintain contact through technology and in-person visits. Staff and residents were supported to access recommended vaccinations, and infection risks were regularly assessed and managed across the service.
