The Red House

The Red House is a residential care home providing personal care to seven people in an adapted domestic-style building. The service supports people with a learning disability and autistic people, encouraging their independence and helping them pursue their interests and work towards personal goals. Staff support people in the least restrictive way possible.

However, inspectors found that people were not always supported to make informed choices about their money, with some lacking evidence of consent for weekly charges relating to the care home vehicle. Best interest decision processes were not consistently in place. Additionally, some aspects of the living environment presented safety concerns, and the provider's quality monitoring processes were not always effective at identifying and promptly addressing these issues.
