About The Old Vicarage

The Old Vicarage is a residential care home in Westmorland and Furness, providing care for older people and those living with dementia. Further findings from the Care Quality Commission are set out below.

The Old Vicarage accommodates up to 19 older people and those living with dementia, with 14 residents at the time of inspection. The home has implemented comprehensive infection prevention measures, including visitor health screening questionnaires, contact detail recording for test and trace purposes, and notices advising people with symptoms not to enter. A screened cabin was being built in the garden to enable safe indoor visits.

The large sitting room and conservatory have seating arranged to support social distancing, and the building layout has been adapted to help staff maintain distance from one another. New residents receive a negative COVID-19 test before admission and self-isolate in their rooms for 14 days following their move into the home.
