The Oaks Residential Care Home

The Oaks provides personal and nursing care for up to 30 people aged 65 and over, including those living with dementia. At inspection, 21 people were using the service.

Relatives reported that their loved ones received good care and felt safe. Staff demonstrated compassionate care and warmth when interacting with residents, though care was delivered intuitively rather than guided by best practice approaches.

The condition of the environment, including bedrooms and en-suite facilities, required significant improvement. Poor maintenance compromised people's dignity and respect, and standards of hygiene and infection prevention fell short of expectations.
