The Manor

The Manor is a residential care home providing support to older people and younger adults living with dementia and mental health support needs. The CQC rated the service as Requires Improvement overall. Inspectors found the environment was not safe, with water safety checks and fire safety improvements not completed on time, and the kitchen and grounds not properly secured.

Governance and learning from incidents also needed improvement, as audits had failed to spot these problems.

Despite this, staff were found to be kind and caring, medicines were managed safely, and staffing levels were generally adequate. People and relatives described a homely atmosphere and felt well involved in decisions, though some felt the environment needed updating and activities could be improved.
