The Lodge at Burcot Grange

The Lodge at Burcot Grange provides personal and nursing care to 53 people, including older and younger adults living with dementia, physical disability or sensory impairment. Residents and their relatives consistently reported that living at the home had enriched their lives. Staff place people at the centre of care planning, developing and refining support as needs change, which promotes health and well-being and enables residents to maintain important relationships.

The registered manager works collaboratively with people, relatives, health and social care professionals and staff to ensure seamless care and good outcomes. This approach has led to improved mental health, reduced pain and better physical health for residents. Significant improvements in safety have been achieved, including a major reduction in falls. People receive opportunities to reconnect with their past and enjoy moments of happiness, leading fulfilled lives. There is consistently high praise from residents and relatives for the skilled support provided by the whole staff team, who listen to how people want their care delivered.
