Regents Court Care Home

Regents Court Care Home provides personal care to up to 40 people over 65, including those living with dementia. At inspection, 33 people were using the service. However, inspectors found multiple breaches of regulation affecting safety and quality. Systems for protecting people from harm, managing infection control risks, and safeguarding from abuse were not robust. Care plans and risk assessments lacked detail to ensure safe care delivery, and records were not consistently person-centred or up to date. Staff recruitment practices and monitoring were ineffective, with some staff lacking adequate training or understanding of the Mental Capacity Act and dementia care. Processes for learning lessons from incidents were not effective in driving improvements.
