The Haven

The Haven provides personal care to up to five people living with complex care needs related to autism and learning disabilities. At inspection, four people were using the service, with one living in an annex but able to access the main building whenever they wished. Staff adapted communal areas to suit individual needs, allowing people to spend time in shared spaces or their own rooms as preferred. Plans were underway to refurbish a garden summerhouse to create additional space. While people could not clearly express feeling safe, inspectors observed them to be relaxed with staff. The service responded promptly to safeguarding concerns, and the number of recorded incidents had reduced significantly.
