The Dell provides accommodation for up to 40 older people, including those living with dementia, and also offers eight rooms for short-term intermediate care placements for people recovering after hospital discharge. At inspection, 33 people were living at the home. Residents reported feeling safe and happy, with one person saying, "This is my home and I am very lucky to have great people caring for me.

" Inspectors observed a kind and caring culture with positive interactions between staff and residents throughout.

Staff levels were adequate to meet people's needs, with residents, relatives, and staff all confirming sufficient staffing. Inspectors noted that people were supported promptly and staff did not appear rushed. The service supported people to have maximum choice and control in their lives, using the least restrictive approaches and acting in residents' best interests.
