The Bungalow

The Bungalow provides single-storey accommodation for up to 19 older people in the Farnworth area of Bolton. At the time of inspection, all 19 places were occupied. The service had implemented measures to manage visits safely, including contacting relatives to discuss arrangements and establishing a booking system with cleaning between visits. A dedicated visiting area with a separate entrance meant visitors did not need to access other parts of the home, and hand sanitizing facilities were available on entry and exit.

Staff practices supported infection control, with all employees working exclusively at this location and none from clinically extremely vulnerable groups. Staff wore appropriate personal protective equipment throughout the home and had arrangements in place to maintain social distancing during breaks.
