DIL Place

This small care home supports up to six young people with mental health issues. At inspection, four people were using the service. Staff demonstrated strong safeguarding knowledge and had completed relevant training. Risk assessments were appropriately managed, health and safety certificates were current, and regular maintenance was conducted. Medicines were stored and administered safely, with infection prevention and control measures followed throughout the facility.

Staff recruitment practices were thorough, with files evidencing appropriate vetting procedures to ensure suitability for working with vulnerable young people. The home maintained sufficient staffing levels to meet residents' needs. During the inspection, the service identified and immediately addressed a gap in COVID-19 risk assessments for individuals at additional risk.
