Te Hira Care Home Limited

Te Hira Care Home provides care for up to 14 older people, some of whom live with dementia. At the time of inspection, 12 residents were living at the home.

The home demonstrated effective infection control practices. Visitor temperatures were recorded on arrival, and visitors were provided with personal protective equipment including disposable gloves, aprons and masks. A colour coded system clearly informed staff and visitors which protective equipment was needed in different areas of the home. People's clothing and bedding were laundered individually to reduce the risk of cross contamination.
