Granville House

Granville House accommodates up to 23 older people living with dementia, physical disabilities and sensory loss, with 19 residents at the time of inspection. The service has made improvements to its quality assurance systems, though some checks remain ineffective and had not identified issues such as medicine errors and gaps in legionella risk management. Infection prevention controls are generally being followed, and people feel safe at the service. Staff understand how to recognise and report abuse, and recruitment processes include background checks, though not all staff have appropriate references.

Residents are supported to have maximum choice and control over their lives, with staff using the least restrictive approaches in their best interests. People spoke positively about the staff and the care provided, and staff feel supported by the registered manager.
