Surbiton Care Home

Surbiton Care Home provides residential personal care to up to 26 people, mainly older adults and those with dementia. At inspection, 17 people were using the service. While staffing levels were adequate to meet people's needs and staff demonstrated practical knowledge of care procedures despite limited written guidance, there were concerns about risk management. Risk assessments were not always clearly recorded to provide staff with effective mitigation strategies, and potential incidents had not consistently been identified, reported or investigated. Management oversight required improvement to ensure audits effectively drove service improvements.
