Surbiton Care Home is a residential care home providing support to older people living with dementia and physical disabilities, with 20 people using the service at the time of the assessment. The CQC rated the home Good overall, following up on a previous breach relating to good governance, which inspectors found had been resolved.
Inspectors found a positive learning culture, thorough investigation of incidents, and well-managed risks and medicines. Staffing levels and skills were sufficient, and the home was clean and well-maintained. A health and safety concern about ongoing renovation work was addressed immediately.
People and their families spoke positively about feeling safe, involved, and well cared for.
