Straven House Care Home

Straven House accommodates up to 24 people aged 65 and over in a residential area with accessible gardens. At inspection, 19 residents were living there and receiving accommodation and personal care. The environment was safe and appropriately adapted, with well-managed risks associated with residents' care and support. Medicines management and administration practices were robust. During the day, there were enough safely recruited and well-trained staff, though the operations manager indicated they would review night staffing levels following feedback received during inspection. Staff provided good support for people who could not make decisions independently and offered people appropriate choice and control over their care.
