The following is CQC's published account of its assessment, published 13 July 2026. References to “we” mean CQC. It describes findings at that time.

Date of assessment: 1 to 19 June 2020. The service is a care home providing residential care to older people, some of whom are living with dementia. There were 27 people living at the service when we visited. We assessed all quality statements under the key questions of safe and well-led. The inspection was carried out to follow up on the enforcement action we took against the provider after our last inspection in August 2025, and to see if required improvements had been made.At this inspection we found some improvements had been made. However, we found that medicines were still not being managed safely and the provider had not made the required changes following our enforcement action. The provider therefore continued to be in breach of legal regulations in relation to the management of medicines and governance.Some areas of the service were not very clean, with stained carpets, dirty skirting boards and radiator covers and splashes on walls. The provider has taken steps to address these concerns since our inspection.There were enough staff with the right skills, qualifications and experience to support people appropriately. The staff recruitment process was thorough. Staff received training and regular supervisions. Care records contained person-centred information about people’s care needs. Risks to people’s health and well-being had been assessed.People and relatives gave mostly positive feedback about Stoneleigh House, and we had positive feedback from a visiting health professional. We observed staff being caring, kind and respectful throughout our inspection.
