Stilecroft Residential Home

Stilecroft Residential Home provides personal care for up to 44 older people and those living with dementia and mental health needs across three floors. At the time of inspection, 38 people were using the service. The targeted inspection examined safeguarding, risk management, and eating and drinking support. Inspectors found that checks on people and equipment, such as sensor mats, were not always properly recorded to demonstrate they had taken place. While staff were aware of people at risk of weight loss, risk assessment records needed improvement. Recording systems did not consistently show when people had been referred for additional support with weight loss or what advice they had received. The registered manager responded positively to feedback and made changes following the inspection, though these changes were still being embedded at the time of review.
