Amathea

Amathea provides personal care and accommodation for up to 40 people across two floors, with its ground floor unit designated for people living with dementia. At the time of inspection, 30 residents were living there. The home is situated close to Workington town centre.

The home had implemented very robust procedures for preventing visitors from catching or spreading infection. Prior to entering the building, all visitors underwent a range of checks including temperature taking and rapid lateral flow tests for Covid-19. These measures enabled visitors to spend time with their relatives while maintaining infection control protocols.
