Stanley Park

Stanley Park accommodates up to 71 older people, including those living with dementia or dementia-related conditions. At inspection, 61 residents were using the service in one adapted building.

Inspectors found that care was task-centred rather than person-centred. Staff being busy meant they had limited time to spend with residents. During observations, some people sat silently without engagement or stimulation. A quality assurance system was in place but needed to become more robust to properly assess care standards. The home required improvements to ensure people remained the main focus of care delivery.
