Sovereign House

Sovereign House is a nursing home providing personal and nursing care to up to 60 people across three floors, supporting adults including those living with dementia. At inspection, 34 people lived at the home permanently while 18 were staying for short-term assessment or rehabilitation following hospital discharge.

Inspectors found that risk assessments for people's health and safety were not always robustly completed or mitigated, with concerns identified regarding the lack of risk assessments and care plans for some residents. The management and administration of medicines was not always completed safely, and the home environment did not always maintain effective infection control standards.
