Sovereign House is a nursing home providing nursing and personal care to older people and younger adults, some living with dementia. The CQC rated the service Good overall, an improvement on its previous requires improvement rating. Inspectors found risks were generally well managed, medicines administered safely and infection control practices followed, though some care records did not always show that required checks had taken place promptly.

Staff knew people well and treated them with patience and respect, and people said they felt safe. Care was reviewed regularly and involved people and families, with choice offered over meals and activities. Some staff reported feeling pressured to complete their duties, but management oversight and staff training had improved since the last inspection.
