About St Aidans

St Aidans is a residential care home in Blackburn with Darwen offering short-term break care for adults with learning disabilities. Details of the most recent CQC inspection are set out below.

St Aidans provides residential short-term break care for up to six adults with learning disabilities in single en-suite bedrooms. Some people may have additional disabilities. At the time of inspection, the service was closed to admissions with no current residents.

The service maintained high standards of cleanliness and infection control. Staff correctly wore personal protective equipment, and signage throughout the home reminded visitors of measures in place to reduce cross-infection risks. Dedicated rooms on each wing allowed staff to safely put on and remove PPE.

All staff had completed training in infection prevention and control procedures and proper PPE use.
