Solent Cliffs Nursing Home Limited

Solent Cliff's is a nursing home providing personal and nursing care for up to 40 older people, many living with dementia. At inspection, 33 people were using the service. Inspectors identified concerns with medicine management, finding that people did not always receive the correct dosage and medicine was not stored safely. While the provider had assessed people's needs, risk assessments for skin care and swallowing difficulties were not sufficiently thorough. Inspectors also noted concerns that the culture within the home was not always inclusive and dignified. Staff demonstrated good knowledge of abuse and expressed confidence that any concerns would be investigated and dealt with appropriately.
