Shaftesbury Court provides accommodation and care for up to 40 older people, with 25 residents using the service at inspection. The home also offers respite care and support. The service had implemented robust visitor safety measures, including a pre-booked visiting system in a designated room with one visitor per person. Visits were spaced to allow surface disinfection, and all visitors were screened for respiratory symptoms, provided hand sanitizer and face masks, and observed social distancing during visits.

The home also maintained clear admission procedures to minimize COVID-19 transmission risk. New residents were required to take tests before and after admission and isolate for 14 days in their own flats, with established procedures from entry points designed to reduce infection risk.
