Ruskin Mill College is a specialist residential college and shared lives service supporting young people with learning disabilities, autism and mental health needs. The service can accommodate up to 45 people, with 23 receiving personal care at the time of inspection. The shared lives scheme provides long-term placements, short breaks and respite care within shared lives providers' own homes, enabling people to live as full a life as possible and achieve the best outcomes.

The service is designed around principles ensuring people with learning disabilities and autism can live meaningful lives that include control and choice.
