Royley House Care Home

Royley House provides residential care for up to 41 people, some living with dementia. At inspection, 13 people were residing at the home, which occupies the ground floor of an adapted two-storey building set in its own grounds. Medicines are managed safely, with staff demonstrating improved knowledge and competency in using the electronic medicines system. The home maintains adequate staffing levels and implements robust recruitment checks to ensure staff suitability when working with vulnerable people.

Staff have received safeguarding training and understand how to recognise and report abuse or neglect. Infection control practices are in place, and the home is clean and well-maintained. Relatives spoke positively about the care provided and indicated they would recommend the home to others. Management has stabilised since the last inspection, with improvements and changes now embedded in practice.
