About Rowan House

Rowan House is a residential care home in Essex, providing accommodation and personal care for younger adults with learning disabilities or autistic spectrum disorders. Further details from the Care Quality Commission's most recent inspection are set out below.

Rowan House provides accommodation and personal care to six younger adults with learning disabilities or autistic spectrum disorders in an adapted residential house. The home is deliberately designed to blend into its surroundings, with no identifying signs, cameras, or industrial features that would indicate it is a care home. Staff support people to have maximum choice and control over their lives, using the least restrictive approaches while acting in their best interests.

The service focuses on enabling people to live meaningful lives with opportunities to gain new skills and become more independent, with support that is person-centred, planned, and coordinated to meet individual needs.
