Redlands Residential Care Home

Redlands is a residential care home accommodating up to five people with learning disabilities. At inspection, five residents were living at the home. People said they were happy living there and told inspectors they enjoyed leading independent lives with positive relationships with their peers and staff team. Staff knew residents very well and provided person-centered support tailored to their needs.

However, inspectors identified that care plans were confusing, with people having three different care files each. This fragmented approach to record-keeping was noted as requiring improvement. A recommendation was made that the care home reduce and consolidate care planning documentation to create clearer, more cohesive support plans for residents.
