Pennington Court

Pennington Court is a residential care home for up to eight people with learning disabilities, acquired brain injury and associated conditions. At inspection, the service was at full capacity. People living there were positive about their experience, and staff were available to provide support promptly, including one-to-one assistance where assessed as necessary. The home supports people to have maximum choice and control over their lives, with staff working in the least restrictive way possible in line with their best interests.

The inspection identified some concerns about how people's dignity was upheld in the home. While the registered manager indicated this issue was already being addressed, the evidence provided was not sufficient to fully reassure inspectors. The service aims to enable people to live meaningful lives with control, choice and independence through person-centred support.
