Outlook Care - Dagenham Road

Outlook Care - Dagenham Road provides personal care to up to eight adults with mental health needs. At the time of inspection, six people were using the service. The home had safe arrangements in place for visits from friends and family, allowing contact in line with government guidance. When more restrictive visiting rules were in place previously, staff had enabled relatives to maintain contact through garden visits and electronic communication. Upon arrival, visitors had their temperature taken and PPE was readily available, with safety information displayed throughout the premises.

During the pandemic, the service admitted two new residents. Both received COVID-19 tests before moving in and spent their first week in an isolated area of the premises to prevent contact with other people. Staff asked visiting professionals to demonstrate vaccine status on arrival, though this information was not formally recorded.
