Orchard Views Residential Home

Orchard Views Residential Home provides residential care for up to 40 older people, including those living with dementia, though only a small number were living there at the time of the CQC's assessment. The service has moved out of Special Measures following improvements, but inspectors found ongoing concerns around governance, risk management and record-keeping, and it remains rated Requires Improvement.

People spoke warmly of staff, describing them as kind and attentive, and were positive about food and choice. However, inspectors found a lack of meaningful activity, gaps in care records, and inconsistent infection control practices. A newly recruited manager had introduced plans for change, which still needed to be fully embedded into daily practice.
