OLIVE ROW CARE HOME

Olive Row Care Home is a nursing home providing personal and nursing care to up to 54 people across three separate units with adapted facilities. At inspection, 40 people were using the service.

The home's management had failed to recognise that staff lacked the required skills and competencies to provide care or properly record what had been given. In response, the provider placed an area manager and trainer in the home to implement a training and competency programme for all staff.

The provider had not established adequate systems and processes to identify when people were not receiving care that met their needs, resulting in incomplete records and incidents that were not reported or followed up appropriately.
