Oak Lodge

Oak Lodge provides personal care for up to 28 people in a single adapted building, supporting those with dementia, mental health needs, older people, and younger adults. At inspection, 16 people were using the service. Care plans and risk assessments were person-centred and reflective of current needs, with medicines stored safely and managed well. The environment had improved significantly with ongoing improvements in progress. Quality audits identified areas for enhancement and ensured people remained safe and involved in their care.

Staff were adequately resourced and recruited safely, receiving induction to develop necessary skills. The team reported feeling well supported and delivering person-centred care, with inspectors observing staff working collaboratively in a professional, warm, and welcoming environment. People were supported to have maximum choice and control in their lives, with staff using the least restrictive approaches in their best interests, supported by the service's policies and systems.
