About The Lawns Care Home

The Lawns Care Home is a residential care home in Darlington, providing accommodation and care for older people, including those living with dementia. The findings below set out what CQC observed on its most recent inspection.

The Lawns Care Home provides residential care and accommodation to older people and those living with dementia across an adapted two-storey building. The service can support up to 62 residents and has several communal areas and an outdoor garden space. At the time of inspection, 46 people were using the service.

The management of medicines had improved overall. However, further guidance was needed for medicines prescribed on a 'when required' basis and those with variable doses. Records for the application of creams and lotions were not always complete, and a recommendation was made regarding the recording of medicines.
