Oak House

Oak House provides accommodation and personal care for a maximum of four people, including those with learning disabilities, autistic spectrum disorder, physical disabilities and sensory impairments. At inspection, three people were living in the home, with respite accommodation also available for short residential breaks.

The home demonstrated strong infection prevention practices. Staff, relatives and healthcare professionals followed strict entry processes, whilst nominated relatives could book supervised visits. Single occupancy bedrooms, social distancing and good ventilation reduced infection risks. The service maintained ample stocks of personal protective equipment and conducted COVID-19 testing three times weekly for staff and monthly for residents. Cleaning regimes were robust and staff had received comprehensive infection prevention training. The provider's infection control policy was regularly reviewed to reflect current government guidance.
