Newlands

Newlands accommodates up to eight adults with learning disabilities, autism, or mental health needs. Five people were living there at the time of inspection. The home had experienced recent staff changes, with several departing and new recruits joining. While relatives and staff raised concerns about staffing levels and agency use, the registered manager noted that consistent agency workers covered any gaps. The manager was negotiating with the local authority to review funding for three residents whose needs had changed, with a view to increasing staffing numbers. The home had systems in place to keep people safe, with risks regularly assessed, reviewed, and managed.
