Could the NHS fund Neave Crescent's fees?
NHS Continuing Healthcare could cover 100% of care costs with no means test.
Neave Crescent provides personal care for up to ten people with learning and physical disabilities across two adjoining purpose-built bungalows. At the time of inspection, seven people were living at the service. Though larger than best practice recommendations, the provider arranged the service to ensure person-centred care, supporting residents to maximise their independence, choice, control and involvement in the community. The building design fitted naturally into the residential area alongside other similar-sized homes, with deliberately no identifying signs, intercoms or cameras, helping to maintain a domestic feel and reduce any stigmatising features of institutional care.
